Okay if you are a people person and you want to help others more. If you are here you probably know at this point that our Lord Jesus Christ wants us to be among the people and…
Describe your calling to the ministry and why you think you are called?
I was having difficulty with my being a pastor online. I was a member of another ministry and it seemed that they only wanted my money and then I was left to flounder by myself to find my way. One of the personal difficulties I did have at the time was I had DID otherwise known as multiple personality disorder. I had 10 personalities I was struggling. I didn't realize that they were of the devil and he had taken up residence in my soul. Out of the blue one day I was contacted by Jeff Godsey and was asked to friend him. I was like who the heck is this but he was a member of the other online ministry so I thought what the heck. We became quick friends. I and he are close to the same age so we got along very well. One day while we were chatting one of my nasty "alters" took me over and threatened to kill me. This is not the first time that he had attempted to kill the body (Me). I know it get's confusing. Jeff and I ended up going on Messenger and he began to do a "exorcism" He called us to the Lord's court and we were able to free my body of some of the evil spirits in my body. This happened around three times over several months. I was able to get focused on my ministry preaching at nursing homes and helping those who are in need. I was given three gifts upon the exorcisms. One was to be able to speak in tongues, being able to hear the holy spirit, and I am given visions. This has it's good points, When the Holy Spirit wants you to do something you soon learn to do it and not to hesitate. It was about a year later I was waking up with the toilet full of blood for about 3 months. I finally said something to my wife. She said that perhaps it was due to my hemorrhoids. I told her that it was more that that. I finally went for another scope and it turned out that I had a orange size tumor in my colon. I named it Ralph. I needed to approach everything with humor because I was scared. Colon Cancer ran in my family and many of my family members had bags. Not to mention I really didn't want to die, I was only 57. I was sent to the cancer center and the doctor was a jerk. He asked me why I was there. I was like duh? Not to mention he greeted me as Marion. Ok I do not look like a Marion by any means. Then he told my wife and I that we needed to go see a surgeon first. In the mean time we had no clue what we were doing. I was scheduled for surgery after I took time to go and see my son in Virginia and Jeff and LIsa Godsey. I really felt like I was preparing to die. I returned to Pennsylvania and prepared for the surgery. I was going to have my Ralphectomy. Everything that could possibly go wrong did. EXCEPT, the surgery was supposed to take 3 hours it took 6. The surgeon was going to have someone close after he had reattached my bowel but he looked at it and the Lord told him to look carefully. He ended up taking another 6 inched off my colon and those 6 inches were loaded with cancer cells. Had the Lord not told him to look I would have had to suffer through Chemo and radiation. I was so lucky I was Stage 1 no cancer went to other parts of the body.
How did you become a Christian?
I was raised Catholic but was found that that "church" was lacking. I became Lutheran and was married to my wife in the Lutheran church. They were not happy when I became a ICMA minister and told me I was not welcome. I figured that if that was how they treated people I didn't wish to be a member anyhow. I continued to preach at nursing homes and have been working with people who have ostomies in the Hospital.
What makes you want to join the ICMA?
Let's just say the ICMA and I are a very great fit. It has helped me to become closer to God and It has made my marriage that much more spiritual. I know you get out what you put into it and I try to give it my all. Jesus Loves me and he has a great plan for me. When I was going through my difficulties with my colon cancer I died and went to heaven. when I went to heaven I was told that It was not my time that there was more work for me to do. The ICMA Is helping me do that work.
