Describe your calling to the ministry and why you think you are called?
It was in 1997 that I heard the Lord in that "still small voice" telling me: this is the time you have to leave what you are doing (Civil Service) and be fully committed to my Work. Well, I had before then also been serving in the Eldership Team of my Local Church for the past 6 years. I did not hesitate! I answered the Call, went to Seminary for 4 years and have been Pastoring in full-time after Graduation since then.
How did you become a Christian?
I was baptised by my parents as a child, attended church with my parents as a young person, but was not certain where I will spend eternity. Often when I heard messages over the radio and in Churches - especially when the preacher asked the question: " Where will you spend eternity when you die?", I will normally go for months pondering over the question! It was until 1986 that I answered that question by surrendering my life to the Lord Jesus and accepting Him into my heart as my personal Lord, Saviour, Master and King! Hallelujah!
What makes you want to join the ICMA?
Two are better than one, also iron sharpens iron! Success in Ministry requires more and more connectedness, fellowships (with other Ministers at Local, National and International level), on-going education and training, credentialing, spiritual covering, mentoring etc. Joining ICMA will help me to continually be an effective tool in the hand of the Lord Jesus in fulfilling the "Great Commission"!
